leslie2I was 51 years old, had battled weight my entire adult life and reached an all time high weight; I couldn’t get motivated to work-out and lacked discipline. I started training with Soto in the spring and my transformation began immediately. By early fall I had dropped 50 pounds, lost an astonishing 32 inches (9.5 off my waist) and ran a 5 K without training for it! I could not have achieved those results without Soto-her training style, professionalism, motivation and guidance were everything I needed to lose weight, inches and to get healthy. There are other personal trainers that can give a good work-out, but a key element to my success is Soto’s innate ability to say the right thing at the right time. She makes things mentally click for me; she knows how to turn on the light bulb above my head. It is the combination of the mental “insights” and the physical training that have proven to be invaluable.
Soto’s private studio is the perfect setting for focused work-outs without distraction (people, Tvs,etc). We listen to my music on my ipod, we have frank discussions without embarrassment of others hearing and even use her larger group training studio next door to do other forms of exercise. I’m off high blood pressure meds, I feel strong and I’m having fun buying new clothes! I’m well on my way to a healthy life.

leslie_1Progress update:  Call me crazy, a few weeks after my first 5k (Nov 5), I signed up for the Disney Princess Half Marathon being held on Feb. 26…I should also mention that I signed up for the Disney 5k that was being held the day before the half marathon.  I told my son and husband that I’d plan a trip to Disney if they would commit to running the 5k with me – although neither run (or exercise), the Disney trip was enough motivation to get them training!  My training runs for the half marathon ended abruptly when I developed shin splints and Morton’s neuroma.  I certainly wasn’t feeling confident that I would even finish the race since I wasn’t able to train for it (in the traditional sense)… but Soto improvised and adapted our training sessions to focus on working all of the muscles that I would need for the race (who knew you needed to build your lower back muscles in preparation for a race?!).    I successfully completely the half marathon (and 5k) with no pain!  Not only did conquer a half marathon, but I also motivated my husband and son to get ‘movin’.

It is Soto’s one-on-one training, guidance and encouragement that has transformed me into an athlete - at the age of 52!

I put on. I decided to start exercising again to try to loose the weight I had put on. I decided to seek out the help of a personal trainer. Well…the first one didn’t work out, nor did the one after that, or the one after that and so on… I was frustrated. I was trapped in a body that I wasn’t happy with and wanted my old self back.
In 2011, my best friend had a baby. She put on a large amount of weight during her pregnancy. After a few months I started to notice her weight loss success. My friend lost all her baby weight and then some and looked even better than before she was pregnant. I asked her what her secret was and she said Mikaila Soto.
Still desperate to loose the weight, I decided to call Soto to see what she had to offer. Immediately I could tell she was going to be different. She was energetic, enthusiastic, motivational and most importantly, she really believed in me. No other trainer before really believed that I could loose the weight. I was just another paycheck to them, but Soto really believed in me. I never thought I would loose 15 lbs. Soto said “that’s nothing, you will have that off next month.” I really did loose the 15 lbs. Six months later I was 50 lbs. lighter and 4 sizes smaller.  
Another great thing about Soto is that she makes AMAZING meals. Her meal plans are so affordable and most importantly, tasty! It made loosing the weight that much easier. They are portioned to your individual needs, fresh, and so easy to warm up. It’s great because I’m always on the go. It takes one less stressor out of trying to loose weight.  
If you need some motivation or a little push to get you moving, I would recommend Soto. I truly believe she can help anyone reach his or her fitness goals. Anyone can learn to become a personal trainer and go through the motions….but Soto has been the only one that knows how to really help get me the results I wanted. My only regret is that I didn’t find Soto sooner!

Jeremy_pic1I had always been an athlete growing up and never had to think about working out.  As I started my career in sales that had all changed, my work hours were crazy and my eating habits horrible.  Putting this together with never getting much exercise I had grown to my largest weight of about 235 pounds.  I realized then it was time for a change.  I had tried gym membership after gym membership but couldn’t really get the motivation to go consistently.  Finally my wife talked me in to trying a group fitness class at Soto CPT, halfway in to the class I was laid out on the side feeling like I would pass out.  That was the wakeup call I needed, I immediately signed up for personal training.  I took my first session in February of 2011 and have been working out with Soto ever since.  It’s hard to believe how quickly your strength and endurance can increase with a little direction and the right workouts.  After one year I have already hit the goal weight of 198 pounds she had set for me in the beginning and have gone from a 38 waist to a 34.  She keeps every day interesting with mixing all different types of exercises and pushing you to the limit on each and every exercise.  You never know what to expect going in but you don’t ever leave disappointed.  You can’t help but be motivated as you look in the mirror and see the results.  I would recommend Soto to anyone who has struggled to get back on track and needs that little push to get back in shape.  Thank You Soto for everything you have done for me.
